Fin and Flounder

Last night had some friends over for Dinner. I decided to make something quick and with very little prep.
So razor clam and chorizo risotto with steamed pollack. Our local fish shop is notoriously expensive, something that had made me avoid the place for a long while. It s so frustrating to have a great fish monger on your doorstep that is too expensive to justify buying from. Anyway I was in hurry so in I went and I was seriously, pleasantly surprised. dinner for four, all for for under 25 quid. So I ll be back in the Fin and Flounder from now on... awesome.
C heck it out as it s a great little shop.
Anyway they sold great cooking chorizo,  fish was good and the Razor clam were fresh and sweet.

Soho House

So I have finally started my work with Soho House.
I am now working as a Canape consultant for them. Having worked for so long at Urban Caprice where my daily job of menu writing was around 70% canape based, this is a nice progression for me. Soho house are really keen to push things forward and I am really excited about working with them in the future.
We ve got menus ready to taste  which look great, interesting and fun.

`Brancott Estates

Started the year in the best possible way. Interesting job with Photographer Sam Hofman, creating a QR code for Brancott estate wine... made out of food.
It was a massive undertaking,  a long prep day and a ridiculously long shot day.
After a long set up up and slow progress things were going well.





We were all finished by 1 am then it was the long slow drive round to Soho to return the oven and the rest of the gear. Well worth it though.
